Most nightwear is an afterthought — bought without much thought, worn for years without question. Luminé begins from the opposite premise: your skin spends roughly 3,000 hours a year against your nightwear. That number is why the fabric is not a detail here. It is the founding decision.

Austrian LENZING™ MicroModal

Every Luminé piece is cut from LENZING™ MicroModal — a botanic fabric made from sustainably grown beechwood and produced by LENZING™ in Austria. Micro fibres are among the finest LENZING™ makes: finer than cotton, softer than silk, with a fluid weight that drapes rather than hangs. The natural sheen catches morning light the way silk does — without silk's fragility.

What the Fabric Does

MicroModal is 50% more breathable than cotton and moisture-wicking — it draws moisture away and releases it, keeping the microclimate against your skin dry and calm through the night. It is naturally temperature-regulating: your body's core temperature needs to fall for deep rest, and this fabric works with that, not against it. Featherlight, second-skin softness that does not cling, resists creasing, and keeps its shape and sheen through washing.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — On Fabric and Lace

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is not a marketing label. It is an independent testing standard in which every component of a textile is tested against an extensive catalogue of harmful substances — in many cases going beyond what the law requires. What your skin rests in for a third of your life should be answerable to a standard this strict. At Luminé, both the MicroModal and the lace carry the certification.

The Lace

Our lace is European — delicate, impossibly soft, and chosen to move with the body. Lace is usually the part of nightwear that scratches, stiffens, or is quietly tolerated. Ours is chosen so you forget it is there — until you catch it in a mirror.

The Composition

94% Austrian LENZING™ MicroModal, 6% elastane — just enough recovery for an unrestrictive, second-skin fit that keeps its silhouette.

Care — Luxury That Does Not Create Work

• Wash: machine wash on delicate at up to 40°C, ideally inside a washing bag. Use a mild, gentle detergent.
• Avoid: bleach and fabric softener. Softener coats the fibres and dulls both softness and sheen — the fabric does not need it.
• Dry: hang or lay flat to dry; it dries quickly. Skip the tumble dryer — heat is the only thing this fabric does not forgive.
• Iron: you will almost never need to. If you want a crisp finish, iron briefly on low, inside out, avoiding the lace.
• Lace: the washing bag protects it. Fasten nothing against it in the wash.
• Store: folded or on a soft hanger. It keeps its colour and shape season after season — these are pieces that outlast their price.

Cared for this way, a Luminé piece stays beautiful for years — which is the quiet mathematics of buying less and buying better.
